14th Annual Photo Contest
On The Dawn Of Freedom

On July 17th, 2016, The Legacy, an organization founded by the family of Eric Garner, organized a protest to memorialize the two-year anniversary of his death at the hands of police officers on Staten Island. As media neglects to provide adequate context to political movements like Black Lives Matter, I wanted to show that children are also present in the movement and working toward ending police brutality in their communities.
