Morning of July 4th

Following a long 6 hour climb to the summit of Mt. Hood overnight I reached the summit just in time to watch the rising sun cast an orange glow across the landscape as it displaced the stars above and marked the beginning of Independence Day. The mountains visible in this image from left to right are Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. Adams.
