Memories of the Past

Bodie is classic American western story. Established in the late 1800s during the gold rush in California. It prospered and grew until slowly the people of the town left until the 1940s when it was abandoned as the mining stopped. Now it is genuine western ghost town. Converted into a state park, the town is left to its arrested decay. The town like this derelict building is one truly American icon.
