Lincoln's Hand

This is a close up of Abraham Lincoln's hand from the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. While the impact of the memorial is profound as a whole, an experience undeniably sure to arouse ones senses, I was visually drawn to Lincoln's Hand. Its subtle complexity spoke to me. Visually, I found Lincoln's hand to quietly embody the the many tribulations of his life-long struggles; powerful, while being somber, reticent and intricate, as well.
