15th Annual Photo Contest
Le Ballon Rouge at The McNay Museum

The inspiration behind the photo came from one of my favorite childhood movies "Le Ballon Rouge". I bought myself a 3 foot red balloon and used my favorite museum, The McNay Museum as the background. Growing up I would read Bazaar Magazine and would love the funky and weird clothes and the unique way they would capture the models in the magazine. I put together my wardrobe around the red hat I am wearing. I found the hat in a thrift store years ago and just sat in my closet for years. The hat was from the 1940s and wanted to photograph myself in it.
