This is "My Buddy, Hebert", who lives underneath our dock.  We (not so) fondly refer to him and his family as our "Dock Spiders".  We've learned to live and let live... albeit reluctantly.
Like the rails disappearing into morning haze, the trains on the Mountain-Division line are gone; the last one chugged through in 1987.  Today it is a Rails-to-Trails project.

In the spring baby bass flit about in the shallows of this river... where muskrats and raccoons have discarded empty freshwater clam shells.  This little fellow paused just long enough for the shot.
"Remarkable Phenomenon"  Found this little (less than 2 cm high!) ice formation one morning; cannot figure out how it formed.

There are often in Stara Zagora so many birds and sunset like this. They are so many that in late afternoon sound of them is stronger than other town noice.
driving along the mighty columbia river,i caught up to a train,and noticed a barge just ahead of it-and then saw the reflection of the iron horse on a runoff lake below the tracks.i liked the contrast
