Home on the Farm

I took this photo of my daughter in our town of Bolton. This site is part of the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route, a National Historic Trail. It is listed as Camp No. 5 on the French Army’s March from Newport to Yorktown in late June 1781. The curiosity and unknowing that emanates through her as she examines the ear of corn is a reminder of those soldiers that long ago graced this land with curiosity and unknowingness of their own.
