Frances Gau at the Family Cemetery

It was quite common in rural areas for families to set aside a portion of their land for family burials as it was too far and expensive to take the deceased in to town. This is Frances Gau’s family cemetery in rural Texas that she tends. The gravestone date back to the mid 1800.
