Finding Monument Valley

I was a national park ranger during the last government shutdown. Because I lived in the park and the park was closed, we ended up camping for over a week while we waited. Without a plan, we followed dirt roads until our cars couldn't make it anymore and then we started walking. The only constraint to our explorations was how much water we could carry with us. It truly felt like we were rediscovering the West.
