Doggie Diner Heads for Retro-Diners

San Francisco's Doggie Diners were marked by these large doggie heads---in front of the eating joints. At a North Beach memorial service for a famous old-time journalist, these refurbished and newly-painted doggie head were on display in front of the pub where the memorial gathering honored the famous journalist. A nice bit of nostalgia and human warmth.
