17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest
The contrast between horizzontality and verticality is part of the american space. Chicago's history enhanced this scale in the built environment. The photo depict the contrast between the horizzontal closed, framed, foreground and the vertical open background, while the presence of a person gives the sense of a lack of scale in both the system.
