Brushing up on American history

This is a photo of the statue of George Mason and my one year old son Isaac. Isaac's hand on his shoulder and look into his eyes shows an innocent curiosity. To me it represents the American experience of trying to understand and reconcile the ideas of the past with our way forward to the future. Hopefully our children will learn and build on the great ideas that came before them.
