A flag-laden semitary on Veteran's day

I went to see the grave of my great uncle, (the wiliest man I ever knew) on Veteran's day at the Santa Fe National Semetary. I expected a moving show of gratitude but I was bowled over by the quantity and quality of our appreciation for our fallen warriors (wether in battle or in peace). I have to wonder if any nation appreciates them so much as we do?
