"The King of the Pope of the World" - Neil Hilborn
I really like listening to spoken word poetry. One of the first poems I might have listened to was Neil Hilborn's 'OCD' on Button Poetry. I really like his poetry, so when I came across his work "Me, but but happy," I had to listen immediately. The title made it sound relatable. I love this poem because it's silly, but real. There's a line in it, actually the first line actually the first line, where he mentions feeling "like the king of the pope of the whole world." I really just wanted to visualize this because I like to do art in multiple forms so, if I write a poem, I might also paint it. I like for people to be able to experience the piece in multiple ways. I wanted a visual experience, so I made one.
