The Great Stacks of Boreray

This Scottish Isle in the North Atlantic, home to millions of seabirds, is commonly referred to as the most inhospitable island in the world. Remote as it is, and guarded by stacks such as this, Boreray's sinister cliffs, treacherous surrounding water, and dark, often invisible peaks make it nearly impossible to scale. I had the good fortune of connecting with a local that took me out to these isles even through stormy weather! What an indescribable thrill it was to finally get close enough to shoot this pic.
