The Devil

As fires rolled across the Southwest, when my husband and I were faced with the reality of the Tinder wildfire knocking on our door. The Sheriff advised of a mandatory evacuation, but my husband, a firefighter, decided to stay and fight for our home and our community. With flames and smoke all around us, and fire licking up the hill across from us, I pulled out my camera a captured The Devil. The Devil captures the mood and intensity of the swirling winds, flames engulfing trees 40' high, black smoke, and the orange glow of that terrible day. The Tinder fire took 40 homes in our community as it raged across our neighborhood.
