13th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
self-portrait with my son

I am always taking pictures of my kids but rarely in the pictures myself. Truthfully, I hate being in pictures; but, feel the need to make and appearance every now and then. I was hiking with my youngest child and had my tripod with me so I decided to take some images together. He such a sweet child and I will cherish this memory. Important to step out of your comfort zone every now and then.
