Apparently dead and deserted at midday, the small farm town of Huron, California throbs with activity between 4 AM and 5:30 AM as produce and farm equipment trucks rumble down Lassen Avenue and farmworkers cross the street to purchase burritos, coffee then climb on board labor buses headed to the fields.
