One Night in Shanghai

My friends and I headed out to see the Bund in Shanghai's Pudong District and were walking through East Nanjing Road late on a quiet night. I generally like seeing East Nanjing Road like this late at night when there's just a few dozen people walking around and the flashing neon lights are toned down a bit, giving the atmosphere a more somber mood. Typically, when I see the city like this, I instinctively get panicked because I know it's getting very late and the subways are about to shut down pretty soon. And before I know it, I find myself paying a whole meal's worth of money to hitch a ride on the taxi back to the university.
