15th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
I created this image on the morning of the 31st of December of 2016. I have always had troubles with procrastination, which is one of the reasons I am so interested in the concept of time. This seemed like the perfect moment to make this photo; the year ends, I have not accomplished any of my resolutions for 2016, but the time keeps running, and the only thing I want to do is look away, stop thinking. Meanwhile, reality starts to burst in the background, and I know the disaster will eventually reach me.
