Lilies' Strange Year

Calla Lilies grow all over California (they're actually non-native infestation!) and are one of my favorite flowers to photograph. They're surprisingly tall too! Near Big Sur, there's a patch of lilies that grows next to a beach. 2014 had a dry winter and the field bloomed early, giving me a chance to photograph this before throngs of others attempted to do the same.
