In England's Green And Pleasant Land
I heard Blake’s 'In England's Green And Pleasant Land' in my head whilst out walking, knowing I’m not alone in finding greenness spiritually uplifting, I felt driven to pay homage to the blade of grass and bramble leaf that make up that green palate.
By using a whole roll of film and exposing it multiple times I had a loose sense of control over the finished image, as it was all created in camera. I wanted to detach the literal text into something other, trusting that the layers would find a new form. (photoshop only used for layout purposes)
