Arahant don´t floss

Theravada Buddhism defines arhat (Sanskrit) or arahant (Pali) as "one who is worthy" or as a "perfected person". Far from perfected the subject still brushing his teeth, engaging in personal hygiene reflects the dilemma about the usefulness of nirvana. The picture translates the insight of accurate observation, voided of self-delusion. The color black represents the always hard endeavor of facing ones shortcomings, as black is the result of the absence or complete absorption of light; the color black also conveys the mysterious nature of the birth of such an insight.
