A flower blessed with many petals on Bainbridge Island

Washington is a state of many beautiful natural occurrences, and a flower is just the beginning. However, this particular flower called to me because it was bursting with life. Its true beauty is represented in black and white because of the many contrasts between highlights and shadows. This flower is a representation of the life that I witnessed on my travels throughout the state of Washington.
