Jewels of the Nile: Ancient Egyptian Treasures from the Worcester Art Museum (free with museum admission)

The magnificence of ancient Egypt comes to brilliant life through jewelry—the most precious and personal of human possessions—in this expansive exhibition at WAM. Timed to open 100 years after the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb, Jewels of the Nile puts the Museum’s collection of over 300 pieces of early Egyptian jewelry and large sculptures from the Museum’s other Egyptian holdings, on view for the first time in a century.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
