Wild About Cats
Join us on Museum Day and explore all of the museum's exhibit galleries, including the special exhibit, "Wild About Cats"! This exhibit highlights the wide diversity of cats living throughout the world today, while featuring taxidermy mounts of lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, and many more cats living throughout the continents of North America, South America, Africa and Asia. Museum visitors will learn about the prey these animals hunt, the science behind their extraordinary predatory abilities, how they adapt to their surroundings, and much more!
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
