The Works Museum
9740 Grand Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55420 - United States
Museum Day Hours of Operation: 9:00 am ‐ 5:00 pm
The Works Museum is a hands-on museum where kids and families explore engineering and design. Kids create and innovate with interactive experiences and engineering design challenges.
The Works Museum is ideal for kids ages 5-12 and their grown-ups. Explore sensors as you sneak through the Sensor Maze. Build and test your own K'Nex racers, design structures with giant foam blocks and magnetic bricks, program Beebots, and more.
Also taking place on 9/23/17 is our annual Girl Time special event, offering unique opportunities to explore engineering with women working in engineering and girls studying STEM fields. Learn more about this add-on opportunity at theworks.org.
This venue will accept your Museum Day Live! ticket on the screen of your smartphone and in person.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
