Exhibits

Join us for a free, fun day of activities for the whole family. Watch cool printing demonstrations, print your name in the Alphabet Factory, type on a vintage typewriter, cast your name in hot metal and take a turn cranking out your own Certificate on a Vandercook press. And you can shop! Vendors will be selling letterpress printed paper goods, lovely antiquarian and new books, and antique printing-related tools and things.

Location

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
