One of the oldest historical societies in PA, the Moravian Historical Society is a not-for-profit organization that shares over 500 years of fascinating Moravian contributions to worldwide culture through educational programs for students, guided tours, museum exhibits, and public activities.
Housed on the historic Ephrata Tract in beautiful downtown Nazareth, Pennsylvania, we maintain the 1740/1743 Whitefield House and the oldest surviving Moravian structure in North America, the 1740 Gray Cottage.
Hall Boys: Student Life at Nazareth Hall
Explore the student life of Nazareth Hall and Nazareth Hall Military Academy from 1785 through 1929. Learn about one of the top boarding schools in early America through historic objects, photographs, and documents from the collection. Visitors can view an original bed, desk, and dining pieces from the school. Documents include original examination books and textbooks.
