Seacoast Science Center
570 Ocean Blvd, Rye, NH 03870 - United States
The Seacoast Science Center is a non-profit marine science education organization located within Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, New Hampshire. Ocean education is what we do. We use hands-on programs and exhibits teach toddlers to grandparents that what we do every day has an impact on the health of the ocean and that ocean health impacts our daily lives. A healthy ocean drives our quality of life today and will for future generations.
Please note: This ticket does not include the fee to park in Odiorne Point State Park. Adults: $4 and Children (6-11): $2
We offer hands on interactive exhibits about the fisheries, marine debris, water as our lifeblood. We have a tidepool touch tank and many aquaria where you can see marine animals native to the Gulf of Maine. Our whale exhibit features 3 skeletons and interactive exhibits about whale behavior and adaptation. Our Discovery Dock offers a place for the little ones to immerse themselves in a mock fishing experience with fishing gear, a lobster boat and space for measuring and selling their catch for the day.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
