The Road to Tara Museum, located in the Official Home of Gone With the Wind, brings Margaret Mitchell’s world-renowned novel to life. The Museum boasts a original costume pieces, one-of-a-kind artifacts from the 1939 movie premiere in Atlanta, personal effects of author Margaret Mitchell and more.
New exhibits celebrating Butterfly McQueen and Hattie McDaniel highlight the journey of African American actors during the time of the making of Gone With the Wind.
