There’s new art to explore during every visit to Racine Art Museum. Home to the largest collection of contemporary craft in the US—featuring over 10,000 pieces made with ceramic, fiber, glass, metal, polymer, and wood—RAM offers entertaining docents to guide tours through exhibitions that change three times a year.

Exhibits

Enjoy free RAM admission all day during Downtown Racine's Party on the Pavement, Saturday, September 18, Noon - 6:00 pm.

On view this fall are two- and three-dimensional pieces that deceive the viewer in Fool the Eye: Addressing Illusion in Contemporary Art; sculptural and functional objects that look at how motifs resurface through generations in Precedents: Past Meets Present in Contemporary Glass and Clay; contrasting works by two notable educators and artists of color in RAM Showcase: Russell T. Gordon and James Tanner; and distinctive art jewelry spanning 40 years of a renowned metalsmith's career in Quiet Elegance: The Jewelry of Eleanor Moty.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
