The Passaic County Arts Center, under the direction of the Passaic County Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs, is dedicated to providing high quality and accessible arts events and educational programming. Through gallery exhibitions, workshops, arts classes, and public programs, the Passaic County Arts Center promotes an appreciation for the visual and performing arts by engaging the community in an environment that nurtures creative expression. The John W. Rea House built c. 1810 and was listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
