Newtown History Center

The Newtown History Center offers museum exhibits and tours focusing on the people and events of Stephens City, Virginia’s long history.

Exhibits

In addition to the exhibits located in the main museum, there also are interpretive displays in neighboring buildings that discuss the town’s wagon making industry and the architectural history of a late Colonial era structure known locally as the Stone House.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
