The National Museum of Transportation houses one of the largest and best collections rail power in North America. With over 70 locomotives, the Museum has the most complete collection of American rail power. TNMOT also has an automobile center, McDonnell aircraft models, an operational trolley, rideable miniature train, and native pollinator gardens.

Exhibits

Don’t miss a Miniature Steam Locomotive train ride, one of the largest steam locomotives, i.e., The Big Boy, Trolley cars (and rides), 70 locomotives plus passenger and freight railcars, vintage automobiles, and even a couple of planes and McDonnell model plane exhibit, and a towboat. Fun for all!

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
