Exhibits

"Voices of the Land: The People of East Tennessee"
This signature exhibit traces over 250 years of our region’s history, and the East Tennessee Streetscape recreates an urban street corner from the early 1900s.

"'You Should've Been There!' The 40th Anniversary of the 1982 World's Fair"
This feature exhibit traces the history and pageantry of the 1982 World's Fair, an international exposition that brought more than 11,000,000 people from around the world to the "scruffy little city" of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
