The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center features 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space science, a full-dome, all-digital planetarium and a variety of science, technology, and engineering and mathematics programs. The engaging, robust educational programs are geared towards families, teens, seniors, students, community groups and lifelong learners.
Exhibits include two floors of interactive hands-on exhibits on astronomy, aviation, Earth and space science, space history, general science & engineering.
Our planetarium is a full-dome, digital Sky-Skan Definiti theater with five shows playing daily.
The Countdown Cafe and Science Store will also be open on April 4th, 2020. Both are conveniently located on site.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
