Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage

2929 Richmond Road, Beachwood, OH 44122 - United States

The Maltz Museum brings people together and history to life. We celebrate culture and explore identity to promote a greater appreciation of Jewish heritage and the diversity of the human experience. We bring personal stories of struggle, courage and creativity to life through thought-provoking exhibitions programs.

The Museum’s core exhibition, An American Story, chronicles the Jewish immigrant experience and reveals how the challenges these newcomers faced are similar to those of other groups that have sought opportunity in America.

The strikingly beautiful artifacts showcased in The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery embody Jewish tradition and ritual while highlighting links with other faiths. The gallery features 175 treasures spanning more than four centuries that are internationally recognized for their quality and uniqueness.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
