The “Life on the Ohio” River History Museum features a rare and diverse collection depicting life and work along the Ohio River, from the earliest flatboats to the rise and fall of the steam packets and towboats.

Exhibits

An assortment of model steamboats with a unique history! Handcrafted by Switzerland County native Harold Patterson, once an actor on Capt. Billy Bryant’s New Showboat, these models are true Americana.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
