Koester House Museum and Gardens

Victorian home and gardens established in 1876 by one of the forunners of commerce and growth in the town of Marysville, Kansas.
Each room in the house exhibits belongings to four generations of one family, many where the famiy originally placed them. The gardens contain 10 white zinc statues and some plantings are still there from the 1800's.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
