Heritage Square Museum is a 19th Century Crossroads Community located on thirteen acres in Ontario, New York. The Museum is home to ten historical buildings from the local area where visitors will find household and industrial items used by early settlers of Ontario on display. The Museum is owned and operated by the Town of Ontario Historical and Landmark Preservation Society and is chartered by the New York State Department of Education

Exhibits

All the buildings will be open for self-guided tours. On-going demonstrations, presentations about items in the collections, crafts for children, antique car show, and guided tours will be available throughout the afternoon.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
