The Cayucos Historical Society opened its history museum in the summer of 2013. Still in its infancy, the museum is currently located at the Vets Hall site off the Cayucos Pier. It houses the Society’s permanent collection as well as rotating exhibits related to our town’s history. Free admission!


The Cayucos Historical Society will kick off Nation Museum Day on Friday September 20th, with a History Night. The evening will be begin at 7:00 pm and will be held at the Cayucos School Auditorium. The featured speaker will be our own, Debbie Soto, author of the books "Glimpses of a Bygone Era" and "Living in Harmony", books about rural and one house schools. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

The Cayucos History Museum welcomes all visitors on Saturday September 21st to our new location, at the Cayucos Vet's Hall (Cass warehouse). The current exhibit is "School Days, the history of the schools of Cayucos". CHS will celebrate the day with refreshments and a free memento to all visitors. Everyone is welcome and as always admission is free. Hours: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
