The site is dedicated to the upkeep and interpretation of the John Homer Bothwell estate, known as Stonyridge Farm. Guided tours are offered of the 13,000 square foot lodge that Mr. Bothwell had constructed between the years of 1897 and 1929.

Exhibits

Tours of the historic lodge will be offered at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1-3 p.m. to groups of no more than eight participants each. The park office/visitor center will be open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. that day. The office/visitor center contains interpretive displays and is air-conditioned. The lodge is not air-conditioned.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
