The Booth Museum, in association with the Smithsonian Institution, is a 120,000 square foot museum located in Cartersville, Georgia, where guests are invited to See America’s Story through contemporary Western artwork, a Presidential Gallery, a Civil War art gallery and an interactive children’s gallery. Open since August 2003, Booth Museum is the only museum of its kind in the Southeast and was named 2020, 2021 and 2022 USA Today’s 10Best Peoples’ Choice Award for best art museum in the country.

Western Vistas: Arturo Chavez & Grant Redden
June 4 – September 18, 2022

This exhibit brings together 2 well-respected master artists, and features the beautiful landscapes of Arturo Chavez and the working rancher paintings of Grant Redden.

The Shirt Wearers: The Plains Indian Art of Cathy A. Smith
August 27, 2022 – January 8, 2023

This exhibit features the war shirts and regalia of 12 historically important Plains Indian Chiefs created by Cathy A. Smith. It is a tribute to the great leaders of the plains, plateau and prairies of North America. It is educational in that it is the only authentic recreation of the documented (but now non-existent) regalia of these important men.

Booth Photography Guild Annual Exhibition

August 16 – November 12, 2022

This juried exhibition features the work of photographers who are members of the Booth Photography Guild, a group that meets monthly for educational programs about photography.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
