Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens
633 Osceola Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789 - United States
Founded in 1961, the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens is home to an art collection created by award-winning, internationally recognized, Czech-born sculptor Albin Polasek. The museum's primary exhibit is American representational sculpture, with over 200 works by Polasek. These are featured throughout the artist's home and gardens located on scenic Lake Osceola.
The museum also features a gallery space with rotating exhibits. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of only 30 members of the National Trust's Historic Artists' Homes and Studios.
The Polasek joins Smithsonian Magazine's "National Museum Day Live!" We will be celebrating with free admission for this special open house. Enjoy sculpture demos with our community partners, the Florida Sculptors Guild. See what real contemporary sculptors are creating now. View our current exhibition of Florida landscapes in our gallery and hear about the artwork from the collector's themselves. Join us in the gallery for an informal gallery walk-through at 12:00 noon. A hands-on, complimentary art activity will also be available in the garden throughout the day. Sit down and create your own masterpiece!
The Historic Polasek Home and Studio will be open for self-guided tours, stroll our lush lake-view gardens, and tour the historic Capen House, also located on our campus. Have fun with your family and get involved with historic places and beautiful settings that matter in our community!
Download your free "Museum Day Live!" Ticket here or register at entrance for free admission. $5 onsite parking.
