Agecroft Hall & Gardens is an authentic English Tudor historic house museum that was reconstructed in Richmond in the 1920s. The interiors are filled with 16th and 17th century furnishings and unique architectural elements. Outside enjoy manicured gardens and a woodland walk overlooking the James River. Open 6 days per week for tours, garden admission, educational programs, concerts, special events, and home of the annual Richmond Shakespeare Festival.

Exhibits

Self-guided museum and gardens are free for Museum Day ticket holders on September 17 12:00-4:00 p.m. Pick up a garden map and a kid's scavenger hunt map to explore the formal gardens including the picturesque Sunken Garden and the only Shakespeare Garden in Virginia. Continue past the gardens to our shaded woodland walk and new trails for a short hike. The Sunroom Exhibit, with a large stained glass window and historical information, is also included in free admission.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
