Agecroft Hall & Gardens is an authentic English Tudor historic house museum filled with 16th and 17th century furnishings and unique architectural elements. Outside enjoy manicured gardens and a woodland walk overlooking the James River. Open 4 days per week for tours, garden admission, educational programs, concerts, special events, and home of the annual Richmond Shakespeare Festival.

Exhibits

Self-guided museum and gardens are free for Museum Day ticket holders on September 18, 2021 12:00-5:00 p.m. Take a garden map to explore the formal gardens including the picturesque Sunken Garden, the fragrant Herb Garden, the only Shakespeare Garden in Virginia, and the kid-friendly Turf Maze. Continue past the gardens to our shaded woodland walk for a short hike with a lookout on the James River. The Sunroom Exhibit, with a large stained glass window and historical information, is also included in admission.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
