Unwind and discover The Museum at Lassen's Resort, operated by the Cedar Lake Historical Association, on the shores of Cedar Lake, Indiana. The 1920's Come Alive on the Lake when you explore how Cedar Lake enriched a region and touched lives around the world in the Story of Cedar Lake exhibit.

Exhibits

Housed within a 100-year old resort hotel, the Museum at Lassen's Resort tells The Story of Cedar Lake in an exhibit experience that presents the relevance of Cedar Lake history from its glacial formation through the bustling 1920's resort era. The Monon railroad put the sleepy community "on the map" while the commercial ice industry supplying Chicago's south side meatpacking district shaped its pre-war economy.

And be sure to take the junior historians to the Hands-on History Room where children are invited to learn Cedar Lake history through play! Hop across frozen Cedar Lake on ice blocks, try magnet fishing in little Cedar Lake, play mini-golf just like guests of Lassen's Resort did over 100 years ago, and more.
