Pamela Tuchscherer

Pamela Tuchscherer, a volunteer in the Department of Invertebrate Zoology at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, works on Joseph Morrison’s 20th century mollusk collection. Examining the shells, field work, and travels of one of the country’s leading authorities on land and fresh water snails, she combines her love of science, history and research. As a retired teacher, and previous author of early childhood educators’ books and newsletter, she enjoys sharing her passion of life-long learning. Pamela also enjoys traveling to the west coast as well as kayaking off of south Maui observing humpback whales and spinner dolphins.
