Laura Soul

Laura Soul is the Deep-Time Science Education Specialist in the Paleobiology department at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. Her research focuses on using fossils to understand and model how evolution and extinction happen on very long timescales. She has studied everything from large ocean-going reptiles from the Jurassic to tiny bats and rodents from the present. She also works with the Education and Outreach team on citizen science activities and projects for the National Fossil Hall.
