What Jurassic Park Got Wrong About Raptors

Forget the scaly skin, real raptors had feathers and, according to one paleontologist, looked a lot more like “prehistoric kickboxing killer turkeys” (2:58)

While I agree that birds are dinosaurs and that the Raptors in the movie may be Deinonychus, I strongly (let me emphasize STRONGLY) disagree with them having feathers. They look silly and stupid like that. Can you imagine what would have happened if Jurassic Park made their Raptors to look like they look now? No wonder that kid in the beginning said it was like a six-foot turkey. Now, that they look like one, he would be right! Science isn't always accurate. They declared Pluto no longer a planet when it's been a planet for a very long time now. What makes you think they're accurate about Raptors having feathers? Yes, I know they are two separate fields (paleontology and astrology), but they are connected with one thing in common...Science. Getting back on track, I will never believe that Raptors ever had feathers, regardless of what "evidence" is found and what "scientists" say. They may be deinonychus in the Jurassic Park movies, but NO FEATHERS! That's why I didn't like the third film as much as the other two. I remember they looked much different and the males had feathers on the tops of their heads. This depiction of Raptors (fully feathered...as if JPIII wasn't bad enough) makes me wonder how anyone could possibly be scared of them. Archeopteryx may have been feathered, but feathered Raptors are just too stupid to be believable. No, I'm not a scientist, nor do I claim to know about Science. I'm merely a fan of Jurassic Park who strongly opposes my favorite dinosaurs with feathers on. I will NEVER forget the scaly skin! If they make Jurassic Park IV with fully feathered Raptors, I believe the movie will flop and angered fans from the original will be protesting against this. They may even boycott the film entirely. It could happen! Think about that!
